About Sue RoberstonProfessional Style:
“I take an approach which focusses on the client, and through developing a genuine and respectful relationship with the person, work towards understanding and helping them with their particular personality issues and situation. “The counselling and therapy I provide draws from extensive experience in a broad variey of settings over the past ten years. I am humanistic in approach, applying a gender-sensitive range of theories including psychodynamic, solution-focussed, mindfulness-based work, and systems theory. This is not definitive list of the frameworks I draw upon, but rather a snapshot of some of the theories I use. The important thing is each individual’s uniqueness and helping them to understand and grow within the context of therapeutic support. “My purpose in doing this work comes from a desire to help people to grow and find meaning. It is a creative job, which, as people develop more understanding and ways of dealing with the difficulties they encounter, is very rewarding to witness. “The personal qualities I bring are respect, sincerity, care, warmth and years of professional and life experience, and successful outcomes for my clients."
